Cisco Career Certifications

Cisco Certifications are professional certifications for Cisco products. The exams are administered by Pearson VUE. The five levels of certification: Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert and Architect with specific certifications and specialized technicians. These are available in up to nine (depending on the level of certification) tacks different themes: Routing and Switching, design, safety, service provider, the operations of service providers, data centers, voice and video without wires.

Training

The educational institution that teaches traditional skills called Cisco Networking Academy. Participation in the classes of the Cisco Networking Academy is a prerequisite for an exam or to obtain a certification, but recommended. The program offers courses for CCNA (Routing and Switching), CCNP (routing and switching) and CCNA Security.
Cisco courses are also offered in the universities and training is available from Cisco Learning Partners as Learning Program for CCIE Cisco 360 and Cisco Learning Network. All certifications are the books official certification guide Cisco Press calls.

Entry-level certification

The lowest level of certification is the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), which covers the basic knowledge of networking. Until its introduction, is the first level of the program of CCNA certification. It is suitable for a position of entry-level network support. CCNA certified personnel can install, manage and troubleshoot a small business network, including basic network security. CCENT is the first step toward CCNA certification. In 2013, he introduced new ICND1 and ICND2 exams (required for the new CCNA Routing and Switching). It is required to test the new CCENT ICND1: 100-101 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 v2.0). With this change, CCENT has become a prerequisite enough for CCNA, CCNA Voice and CCNA Wireless.

Service provider operations

CCNA operations of service providers to provide skills in a prescriptive troubleshooting within a network infrastructure for carrier-class IP-based NGN. The required tests are 640-822 ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and 640-760 SSPO (technical assistance for Cisco Service Provider IP NGN Operations (SSPO).

Cisco-Certified Design Associate

Certified Engineers Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) can design switched or routed LAN, WAN and broadband services. CCNA is not required to take the exam CCDA (640-864 DESGN), but Cisco recommends that you be familiar with the material of CCNA and BCMSN level switch or level of knowledge of Cisco-based LANs.

Network Professional

The CCNP validates the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local business networks and wide area networks and work collaboratively with specialists in providing security, voice, wireless and video projects. In addition to CCNA exams, professionals must pass three separate professional exams. The certification track changed in July 2010 with several migration paths available to those who had begun but not completed, the CCNP certification process.

Required exams:

•    642-902 ROUTE: Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE)
•    642-813 SWITCH: Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH)
•     642-832 TSHOOT: Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT)
•    Design Professional

With a CCDP certification, a network professional can discuss, design, and create advanced addressing and routing, security, network management, data center, and IP multicast enterprise architectures that include virtual private networking and wireless domains. An active CCDA certification is a prerequisite for certification.

Required exams:

•    642-902 ROUTE: Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE)
•    642-813 SWITCH: Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks (SWITCH)
•    642-874 ARCH: Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture
Note that 642-902 ROUTE and 642-813 SWITCH are also required for CCNP. After passing CCNP and CCDA, CCDP requires only 642-874 ARCH.

Internetwork Professional

The CCIP certification It was replaced by the CCNP Service Provider certification.

Internetwork Professional Service Provider

The CCNP Service Provider certification replaced the retiring CCIP certification.

•    642-887 SPCORE: Implementing Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Core Network Services
